Welcome
Welcome to the Newport High School Revision Conference.
Year 10 has become a very important year in school where you will sit the majority of your exams including the most important qualifications for future progression; English and Maths.
Wikipedia definition of revise:
“To look over again (something previously written or learned), especially in preparation for an examination”
Revision should go much further than just ‘looking over’ though and there are lots of things you can do to make the most of your revision time. Good quality, well-planned revision will help you perform well in your exams.
This exciting all-day conference is aimed at helping you improve your revision skills and your performance in examinations.
There are four seminars that will each focus on a separate topic including planning a revision timetable, revision strategies and how to achieve success in exams.
Our staff will be delivering high-quality seminars to prepare you for success this summer and we look forward to working with you to maximise your performance in Year 10.
On the day you will receive your examination timetable which will be explained to you. This will become a very important document and you will need to look after it.
